Super Rugby U19s Brumbies squad announced

The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have announced their Super Rugby U19s squad ahead of the side’s opening fixture against the Western Force on Sunday, September 29 at Viking Park, Wanniassa.

The competition, administrated by Rugby Australia, will feature the Melbourne Rebels, Western Force, NSW Waratahs, Queensland Reds, as well as the ACT Brumbies. With the Grand Final to take place on November 3 at Ballymore Stadium, Brisbane.

The defending U19s Premiers will feature in 4 regular fixture matches, with their opening to fixtures to be played at the home of the Tuggeranong Vikoings.

Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies Head of Elite Pathways & Player Development Daniel Hooper is looking forward to the competition kicking off at the end of the month.

“Last season was a great year for the Brumbies Academy and Pathways system. Our players have been working hard the last few weeks and we hope to continue the success from last season’s campaign.

“The competition was pretty close last year and I expect it to be tighter in 2024. The healthy rivalry amongst the teams can only be beneficial for everyone involved, so we’re looking forward to our first match at the end of this month.”
