Having finished the first round undefeated, the Colts brought the same form to the second round with a win against Wests.
Great work up the middle by the pack to set the platform and create space out wide for the backs to work their magic. Three of the five tries went to the forwards though, a reward for the hard yards they put in. The other two went to Sam Cantrill playing out of position at fullback.
Another big defensive effort marred only by a lapse in concentration late in the 1 st half letting Wests in for their only score of the game.
There were some other lapses in both halves, but the boys rallied as they always do, lifted the intensity back to where we need it to be, and got on with winning.
None better on the day for Royals then ‘Mr Everywhere’ Liam VanDerMere. He was impactful in every part of the field, great gains with skillful, hard running with the ball in hand and defended hard, again, as he always does.
